“When I was younger I thought I could break-dance. Thought!” he told K!. “Ballroom dancing and Latin dancing – there are so many differences than the dancing you see at a house party or at a club. Some may have seen hno’s athletic ability to pummel opponents in speed skating as a plus but he said his experience in the sport was actually a hindrance at times. “I think I bring a lot of bad habits to the table from my sport” he told K!.

Subsequently the crew excelled and won a lot of ‘battles’. Thanks to their energy their reputation and their solidarity the small group became a global and renowned crew and is now composed of twenty dancers performing in the National pera in Lyon. Within the crew a connection exists between the first generation and the new break-dancers as well as between exciting music and stylish dance. Among the dancers is Ryad Fghani the eldest of the group who later became the artistic director and choreographer and other pioneers such as Georges Fagbohoun Yann Abidi Moncef Zebiri Ali Ramdani Riyad Fghani Hyacinthe Vallerie and Mustapha Delli. At the beginning the Pockemon Crew was created just to compete. But now they show a lot of creativity. Despite their success the Pockemon Crew claim that their Hip-Hop is still pure and authentic and that they will never leave the street because that is where it all began.
