We’ve had a year off every five or six years for a long time now. It lets the land rest it lets the village rest and it lets all the people that work here rest. It’s really important because it gives everyone a break and it renews everybody’s energy. There are so many hundreds of people who are working on Glastonbury and who give up their time and effort so you have to give everybody a rest. This year is also the beginning of a four-year licence so we’re really looking to the future. After years of annual battles we are now safe for four years which is such a relief for everyone. Now we’re left with this amazing energy this year because people have had time to breathe… ‘ James Righton Klaxons "We are playing today in Dance East and tomorrow on the ther Stage. I’m looking forward to Simian Mobile Disco. Their album Attack Decay Sustain Release is one of the most innovative dance records I’ve heard in a while. I saw them the other day and they dance like two mad professors around their mothership that’s in the middle of the stage while playing with the equipment. They are really active not stuck behind their decks.

This summer as you noted the broadcast networks actually are spending some money on programming but it’s all reality-ish — "America’s Got Talent" "So You Think You Can Dance" "Ex-Wives Club" "n the Lot" "Age of Love" "Hell’s Kitchen" "Power of 10" "Don’t Forget the Lyrics" "Pirate Master". I could go on and on… _______________________"Creature Comforts": Seriously it won’t be renewed?! How will I ever break the news to my mom?Lisa de Moraes: Hey (why do I feel there was an insult in there somewhere). I loved "Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" and I love this show — especially the British version because let’s face it British accents are funnier — and I’m not ashamed to admit it! _______________________Washington: I’m using this summer’s TV programming to catch up on all the "Ugly Betty" episodes I missed because I was watching "The ffice" and "Survivor. " Frankly I’m psyched.
