Now playing to good crowds at oneof the city’s top venues Leung is relishing what he describes as”a pleasant surprise — people are coming and enjoying theshow”. This is despite the fact that Leung was forced to abandon ajoke after it became apparent that the phrase “to cut someone’slunch” does not mean the same thing in the UK as it does inAustralia. Leung’s Scottish crowds just didn’t see the problem inhelping your friend make a sandwich. Many performers arriving in Edinburgh quickly realise that thejokes that worked so well for audiences at home might need somereworking for a UK crowd.

“We put our energy into our salsa swing. Till now salsa was considered sexy. We are here to break that rule. We want people to also know that salsa can be funny” says Nico. Both the couples are world champions in swing dance and they call their new dance “Salsa-swing” as it blends salsa and swing dance. But what is it about swing that inspires them so much? “Swing was invented by the black people in the Thirties. They were poor people who led miserable lives and at night got together to dance.
Live From Studio 1A: Superbad and High School Musical 2
MSNBC – Aug 22, 2007
It focuses on the relationship between the basketball team captain Troy and top student Gabriella. In the first edition of the film Troy and Gabriella upset their rivals to win lead roles in their high school’s musical production. In the sequel there’s more singing and dancing more romantic intrigue and Troy and Gabriella consummate their relationship with an explosive kiss. As John Larson said in his piece this morning on TDAY “In High School Musical true love conquers all with the help of a great soundtrack. Well he could have said the same thing about Superbad. The soundtrack includes some new and some classic funk songs and the love is between the two main characters Seth and Evan who go on the quest for booze and girls. Like Troy and Gabriella they consummate their relationship too but rather than with a kiss it involves a drunken hug and some loud declarations of their love for each other… Minnie WA (Sent Wednesday August 22 2007 4:28 PM) To all those who are degrading superbad for all the vulgar foul things it contains. THough I have not seen it readign the reviews and comments left by others it sounds just like high school. And I would hate to break it to most people who blame parents for it but that is an obscene generalization. It is brought on by a few parents who allow their children no boundaries and consequwently they learn inappropriate stuff at young ages (listen 6th grade you would be surprised at what the kids know). It is these few children who then go and teach it to all the others. Shane from IN (Sent Wednesday August 22 2007 4:34 PM) Joshua in Memphis dude calm down. It’s going to be ok.

Detroit Metro Times – Aug 22, 2007
I got $230 for a $70 dollar tab once” Tarach explains in a deep sexy drawl. He emphasizes the staff’s uninhibited customer interaction whether it’s encouraging drinkers to dance on the bar giving break-dancing demos or the “playboy bartender” who makes out with his female clientele. The addition of air horns and water-fight artillery is not uncommon behind the bar. (As you can imagine with the latter a wet T-shirt contest ensues). “Do you know how many party stores I own?” I hear a male voice gloating behind me. I turn to find an overweight inebriated thirtysomething embarking on a horrific attempt to impress two knockout blondes.
John Mellencamp bio

” The Lonesome Jubilee (1987) took this new concept further in both sound and content peaking at #6 and achieving triple-platinum status on the strengths of the Top 10 singles “Cherry Bomb” and “Paper in Fire” and the Top 20 hit “Check It ut. ” With sparkling arrangements employing fiddle and accordion Mellencamp here fashioned an altogether radical blend of electric rock and coustic folk. After a break 1989’s Big Daddy proved a welcome return to form reaching #7. The platinum-selling album bore a Top 20 hit in the ironic “Pop Singer” in which Mellencamp who steadfastly retained his Indiana home base in Bloomington vehemently decried the trappings of the success that inevitably came with his pop stardom. The hardworking Mellencamp then took a bit of a break from the recording studio and concert stage focusing instead on his serious interest in painting. Sure enough he rid himself completely of the John Cougar name — a showbiz concoction of his first manager — and when his next album Whenever We Wanted was released in 1991 he was now simply and honestly John Mellencamp. It went Top 20 and platinum anyway fueled by a harder-rocking sound that landed “Get a Leg Up” and “Again Tonight” in the Top 40… Mellencamp’s next official album came the following year with Human Wheels another platinum-seller that debuted at #7. Besides the Top 40 title track hit the album offered “What If I Came Knocking” which topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and two more Mainstream Rock Tracks hits in “Junior” and “When Jesus Left Birmingham” the latter filled with religious symbolism and ending with a reprise of the ending from “Jack & Diane. ” Maintaining his creative roll Mellencamp came back with another album in 1994 — the platinum Top 20 Dance Naked. The album’s titletrack was a hit single as well. Then in mid-1994 Mellencamp suffered a heart attack forcing another break from major touring and recording and a period of recuperation and reflection. Recovered and renewed he undertook an underground club tour under the band name “Pearl Doggy” and returned to the studio to record Mr.
