After winning the compulsory dance in which all teams were required to skate the same prescribed steps to similar polka rhythms a media member asked Belbin and Agosto how they related to that “kind of hokey ” music. “We’re kind of hokey” laughed Belbin who had her hair in pigtails and wore a red skirt ruffled with white at the bottom and a frilly white top. “It’s really not the most sophisticated dance that you do but it is a challenging dance” said Agosto sporting tan bib overalls and a flannel shirt. The original dance is Thursday and the free dance is Saturday. Belbin 23 and Agosto 26 led the compulsory dance with a score of 41.

When I met Marsha I felt like I struck gold. Ice dancing has gained popularity in the United States over the past few years thanks in large part to Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto who have been among the best internationally after they worked out citizenship issues before the 2006 Olympics where they won the silver medal. Courmayeur: the perfect break
Telegraph.co.uk – Jan 23, 2008
Courmayeur at the foot of Mont Blanc has had more than its fair share including at least a foot of fresh powder at the end of last week. It is also one of the best all-round resorts for a skiing break with a pretty village a grand setting and some of the finest mountain restaurants in Italy. Plane to Turin then it is less than two hours’ drive up the autostrada towards the Mont Blanc tunnel… Poppy’s Bar on the Via Circonvallazione. Open until 4am it has a small dance floor and occasional live music. Alternatively try Jimmy’s nightclub underneath the Hotel Astoria.

After four years boyfriend still can’t share his feelings
Seattle Post Intelligencer – Jan 23, 2008
After four years boyfriend still can’t share his feelings. He is resistant to couples counseling… He either doesn’t see it as an impasse or doesn’t care to deal with it — either way he’s not invested enough in her satisfaction to just show up at an appointment. That’s something I’d say about a man or a woman. When man or woman refuses and doesn’t budge then I do the time-tomove-on interpretive dance. Carolyn: How should I present this to him? “If you don’t go to therapy you must not be committed to the relationship” is hardly appropriate. We are deciding if we want to commit to the ugly talk-about-our-feelings stuff etc. as well as the fun and romantic stuff. I’m not looking for an engagement ring.
