Four girls four personalities one disability

Though they share a disability each has a distinct personality. The twinsThe bond between Rachael and Aletha transcends autism say their parents. When they were 3 years old they found ingenious ways to break into their parents’ locked bedroom. They’d leave a pile of toys underneath the door as evidence of their efforts to pop open one of the locks. The Johnsons wised up and bought a lock with a key; they hid the key on top of the door frame. The twins swung a beach towel up and knocked down the key. Between ages 7 and 10 Rachael and Aletha would hold hands and walk around in a circle saying in sing-song voices “we are the twins… Jim drove his daughter to the school and asked her “Do you want me to walk you to the door?” Her response was “I’m not a baby. At the dance she wandered around the floor amid the strobe lights and clusters of girls in tight tiny sequinned and spangly dresses. Later she found a group of her girlfriends. They danced together waving their arms in the air to the blaring music. Rachael is a little boy crazy say her parents.

55-hour Elvis sing-a-thon sets record
Toronto Star – Jan 28, 2008
"My voice is gone" Joachim rasped in a phone interview yesterday. "Learning songs is hard. I had to memorize them follow the beat – and I had to dance!"Joachim’s 55 hours of singing broke the previous world record for the longest Elvis impersonation – 43 hours and 11 minutes. Dressed in a white suit wig and sunglasses Joachim stepped onstage at 8 a. Thursday and taking five-minute breaks every hour – and 30-second breaks between songs – went to work. He was not allowed to remove any piece of his costume throughout the 55-hour performance… "The professional record breaker’s past accomplishments include running up and down an escalator for seven days and standing for 76 hours and 40 minutes on his left foot. "Getting married with 79 bridesmaids and 47 groomsmen was the easiest to break" he said. He plans to break another world record playing the guitar for 55 hours and hopes to break more than 300 in the next 10 years. Copyright 1997-2006 Omniture Inc.

Super Bowl news according to the Flem File
ESPN – Jan 28, 2008
See this is why I like the ROY presser at the Super Bowl: you get one last look at these guys in their purest non-polished wide-eyed form before they get sucked into the NFL zeitgeist for good. When asked how he was going to enjoy his first trip to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii Peterson sporting a dapper brown suit shrugged his shoulders. “Enjoy myself on the beach and maybe do a little hula dance” he said. Hey at least he didn’t say “enjoy an ice cold refreshing Sierra Mist. I was really pleased to see the Pottsville Maroons get such wonderful treatment on HBO’s “Inside the NFL” Super Bowl special. Producer Christine Wilt and Bob Costas (with a little help from yours truly) put together a moving textured tribute to the team the town and their cause while making the Maroons and Pottsville’s 83-year-old fight relevant to all modern-day NFL fans. HBO’s take on the Cardinals Curse (Arizona’s punishment from Pottsville for claiming the 1925 NFL title that should have gone to the Maroons) and the blooper reel they ran with it was laugh-out-loud funny… ” Don’thaffftalivelikerefuuuugeeeeeee. Here’s a killer: “Break down honey go ahead and give it to me break down honey take me through the night. ” Breakdaaaaawwwwwn. Here’s hoping the mostly bored corporate fat cats inside the stadium on Sunday will join in during halftime so that I don’t have to sing backup alone.

Michelle’s sorrow for Heath
NEWS.com.au – Jan 28, 2008
"I remember one night during pre-production in an almost empty nightclub in Kings Cross watching him sweep her to her feet and swirl her around an empty dance floor much to the relief of a bored DJ. "It was a completely private moment – he wasn’t doing it for the benefit of others those of us settling into our seats or buying a round. "He wanted to dance with Williams. He seemed to carry that same I-can’t-believe-it-can-feel-like-this grin from 10 Things I Hate About You. "I had the odd sensation watching them that their experience at just that moment was a little more intense than mine. I almost felt the need to avert my eyes – that pure joy again. ” Williams was not just his lover – she became his defender after a nasty run-in with paparazzi photographers spurred the pair to move out of their Bronte home in search of privacy in New York City… Those moments on the red carpet when they looked at one another and smiled seemed to have extra intensity. But like so many relationships in the glare of public life it just simply crumbled. At the time of the separation there was no official statement – just confirmation of the break-up from a "source” to a US tabloid magazine. Saying the relationship had been troubled for some time the "friend” said the pair had simply grown apart. Ledger moved out of the Brooklyn townhouse that he and Williams shared into the SoHo Manhattan apartment where he was to die. He still spent time with his daughter but filled his other hours with long periods of socialising and a frenetic work schedule. Since Ledger’s death reports have emerged of a complicated web of relationships with a series of glamorous women.
