Lawrence Leung Learns to Break Dance! at GUD Bosco
NEWS.com.au – Feb 25, 2008
content-row clearfloat –> LAWRENCE Leung desperately wants to be cool. He idolises a laidback smooth-talking bass-playing older brother and finds that he comes up short in the cool stakes. Leung is earnestly funny as he delves into all the things that make one cool (or uncool) including dress sense picking up women and – of course – the ability to break dance. He draws the audience in to his deliberations on the subject – on this night the audience judged that while Adelaide identity Johnny Haysman was definitely cool Jon Bon Jovi did not quite make the grade. This is a well-rehearsed slightly cheesy and extraordinarily smiley performance. The final breakdancing performance is a spectacular finish to a smooth routine. The judgment? Not all that cool but definitely funny.

Sharks’ jersey can’t help Stepanek in final match
San Francisco Chronicle – Feb 25, 2008
19?Problem is Stepanek did Sunday what the Sharks have done often at HP Pavilion this season – he lost. Roddick claimed his third San Jose tournament title and first since 2005 with a 6-4 7-5 victory and then performed his answer to the Worm. The Worm is a funky jig Stepanek does after winning big matches a belly-on-the-ground break dance of sorts. So after his 129-mph ace ended the match Roddick turned to the audience and simultaneously wiggled both his right leg and left arm. “Everybody’s asking me about the Worm. All I hear is the Worm” Roddick said. “I wanted to find something as cheesy if not cheesier to go with which was tough.

There is a good level. ?Accompanying Milome were Jean-Michel Garraud a full time dancer and teacher and Marie-Aude Ichane a part-time dancer and teacher.

Dance Marathon benefits Children’s Hospital
Daily Nebraskan – Feb 25, 2008
Students were also asked to raise money for the charity. This year the money is going to the departments of the Children’s Hospital that provide morale boosters for families and helmets for patients born with misshapen heads. About $200000 has been raised in the four-year history of Dance Marathon at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Madsen said. This year the goal is to break $250000. But it wasn’t all hard work. The theme for this year’s Dance Marathon was Shake Your Miracle Maker and that’s just what volunteers like Mo Wax did for 12 hours. “This is my third Dance Marathon” Wax said at 8:45 p.
