(My response would of course be “WTF?”) However I do expect some notification (a simple e-mail maybe) that Schultz was planning the downtime in hopes of getting his “baristas” to reconnect with coffee by training them to make better espresso. My reason is simple enough — Tuesday evenings are my Starbucks night. I repair there for a couple of hours while my daughter is in her dance class. Put aside the fact that it’s insane to close your stores during a prime customer period. Just focus on the fact that like I said above if you pepper your customers with “push” communications (i. crap they don’t want) it’s incumbent upon you to proactively reach out to them when you’re got some real news.

She “felt like a movie star” she said showered in cheers and applause from the Sams Stadium audience. Alma Ponce a kindergarten teacher and dance sponsor at Yturria said the group began to practice a cumbia dance in December. After the holiday break they changed the routine. Ponce decided the group would dance “La Picota El Tamborazo” a dance from the Mexican. Traditional songs and dances from Mexico and the border region will be common during the Charro Days festivities which begin today and continue through Sunday.

FITNESSInspiring children to get fit may require a more modern approach than demanding 20 laps or throwing them in a tap or ballet class. At Dance411 Studios children learn hip-hop and break dancing to positive lyrics from instructors who’ve danced with Snoop and Diddy. The program at Salsambo which features a coffee bar for waiting adults was inspired by a partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs that revealed children were more successful in a dance program if the final performance is optional. The dances are primarily based on Latino styles like the cha-cha but also incorporate hip-hop and ballroom. “If we approach dance from the child’s interest then this will become something they want to do” says owner Jen Piceno. “A little girl may say she wants to do ballet but maybe that’s because she’s never tried flamenco.

BREAK we returned to Ryan in the Red Room with Jason “Dreads” Travolta. Remember Battlefield Earth? OK no one else does either but John was rocking some pretty serious dreads in that movie even had some hanging out his nose… Did you people know I can play the spoons? I know WHOA. )Singing the Doobie Brothers Long Train Runnin’ (Without Love) Jason was dressed in the only actual non-denim pants of the night and a black shirt. Butt I have to ask did anyone else think boyfriend looks like he has some extra trunk junk?Maybe it was the way he insisted on breaking every White Man Can’t Dance law starting with the White Boy March at the microphone the predictable White Man knee bounce and ending with the hideous Only-Elvis-Could-Ever-Pull-It-Off-And-He-Was-Wearing-A-50-Pound-Rhinstone-Eagled-Cape when-he-did-it move: arms outstretched knee slightly bent bowing to the crowd. Dear God talk about empathetic embarrassment. It washed over me in waves. My hair actually fell.
