? The 51-year-old 70s icon has let it slip that he?ll be joining the show?s upcoming season following in the footsteps of his sister Marie who brought a heap of crazy to the 2007 season. The rest of this year?s hoofers haven?t been announced yet but we – as always – are on hand with a few helpful suggestions: -.

Also I really liked that I could get a true perspective on the moves before daring to face the music– and a real partner. What fizzles: The videos on the apps vary in format. Somebreak out the moves for women and men in separate videos while othershave the dance roles integrated into one video. It’s easier to tap onthe one you want than it is to scrub through a single video to theright spot. There should be more consistency to the lessons. Also those whose hips jerk more than sway might be alittle intimidated (or confounded) by the prowess and elasticity of the instructors. I know I was mesmerized by the pair of hips teaching me the samba.

Super Bowl media day has its silly side

“I can say what I want. “Entertainment Tonight” a television show that knows a celebrity when it sees one also proved to have a knack for turning other people’s cameras on. The show invited the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Tampa to do a sort of “Dancing with the Super Bowl Champions” event on a small dance floor set up not far from Mike Tomlin’s podium. While the coach was offering his trademark brand of wisdom — football is entertainment not war — instructor Renee Sapp was dancing a salsa in heels and a rather skimpy red dress. She first taught the dance to and then performed it with Steelers players Tyrone Carter Jared Retkosky and Bryant McFadden (the eventual winner scoring a 9 from the judge and Arthur Murray franchise owner). The dancers drew a crowd of about three dozen photographers TV cameramen and reporters. Nearby Steelers president Art Rooney II was being interviewed by four people.

Maybe it’s the Cardinals. Whatever I wish I could tell you I made good use of my one-on-one time with Arizona linebacker Karlos Dansby but I was so stunned that after two questions nobody else was there to ask anything that I choked. I fumbled two irrelevant questions and was about to say “So how’s it going with you?” just to break the silence before mercifully a TV guy appeared with a question about … I don’t even know what. Anyway here are a few more snippets from the very uneventful Media Day XLIII:• Ballroom dancing has become a Super Bowl sport apparently. ff to one side of the media area a professional (at least I assume they were professionals) ball-room dancing team were schooling members of both teams in the art of the salsa dance. I didn’t see the Cards do it but I heard DT Alan Branch won their dance-off which earned him a Dancing with the Stars-like trophy – which he promptly broke. CB Bryant McFadden won for the Steelers.

The event included a live DJ prizes gift certificates speed dating carnival games Guitar Hero and other video game tournaments casino games and of course food and dancing. Dancing ranged from Ballroom Hustle to Armenian and Albanian dances and concluded with the Debka a traditional folk dance which in Arabic means “stomping of the feet. ” AAS ASU Art of Hip Hop Break Dance Club and Madina all gave performances at the event. “This year was extra special for me because the Albanian Community Television showed up to tape AAS’s performance and show it to our community” said Demiri. This year there were visitors from Wayne State University and even Chancellor Stanley E. Henderson made an appearance. “It’s a one of a kind event led by students” said Demiri.

The club’s fortunes ebbed and flowed over the years. Valentine and partner Mario Maglieri stopped booking live rock acts for a time in the mid-’70s when the folk singer-songwriting boom hit. They turned it into a dance club and then devoted the room to stage musicals. When the punk-rock revolution began around 1976 the Whisky returned to live music hosting the Runaways X the Motels and others on L. ‘s punk and new-wave scene. And it imported such influential acts as the Ramones Talking Heads Blondie the Police and Elvis Costello.
