It may have made the boy George’s night but spare a thought for Lady GaGa who has known Paris for years after they both went to the same school in New York. She had been on stage at the 2 earlier in the evening – and when she did finally take to the decks at London’s Punk club the crowd went absolutely bonkers. That was all too much for jealous Paris – who had come straight from her own launch party and was almost visibly shrivelling from the lack of attention. The heiress decided to gatecrash the stage – and started dancing provocatively in front of the cheering leering crowd.

‘Dance in Concert’ pays tribute to former BYU professor

“This concert honors his ability to take entertainment dance meaning street vocabulary and move it to the concert stage and the ability to take the concert stage and let it become part of popular culture. “Dance in Concert” will feature the piece “Glad Tidings” a spiritual number from the production “Visual Messiah” which was created by Dee Winterton as well as a variety of other numbers set to honor and reflect Winterton’s dance style and philosophy. There also will be pieces created and choreographed by BYU faculty members Pat Debenham and Caroline Prohosky. The Dancers’ Company which has been in existence and performing at BYU and worldwide since 1976 is noted for its physicality and athleticism in interpreting and performing modern and contemporary dance. “The Dancers’ Company’s mark and stamp” Debenham said “is a real dynamic and vital dance form that crosses entertainment and art that allows people who oftentimes wouldn’t go to a contemporary dance concert to come and enjoy it as well. Under Debenham’s direction the group’s energetic style really comes through in its current production “Dance in Concert” said Kate Monson assistant director for The Dancers’ Company.

Maybe it’s the Cardinals. Whatever I wish I could tell you I made good use of my one-on-one time with Arizona linebacker Karlos Dansby but I was so stunned that after two questions nobody else was there to ask anything that I choked. I fumbled two irrelevant questions and was about to say “So how’s it going with you?” just to break the silence before mercifully a TV guy appeared with a question about … I don’t even know what. Anyway here are a few more snippets from the very uneventful Media Day XLIII:• Ballroom dancing has become a Super Bowl sport apparently. ff to one side of the media area a professional (at least I assume they were professionals) ball-room dancing team were schooling members of both teams in the art of the salsa dance. I didn’t see the Cards do it but I heard DT Alan Branch won their dance-off which earned him a Dancing with the Stars-like trophy – which he promptly broke. CB Bryant McFadden won for the Steelers.
