Even though at first all the break dance aspects of Victor’s work were very new to me — the floor elements being upside-down using your upper body as a point to put weight on — I was fearless about it and we established a very close relationship from the very beginning. He choreographed everything on me and would consult with me and we’d share our ideas. But instead we try to carve shapes into the space around us with our body’s movements.

comFor most college students the spring break you see on MTV with all sorts of drinking contests and dance parties in a tropical climate among your best college buddies is the furthest thing from. Actually a majority of college students have never and will never spend their week off in March pounding beers south of the border. Especially in today’s economic climate it just doesn’t seem feasible to swing a week of partying despite the the lures of tropical temps and poolside parties.
