“I first saw break dancing done at Palo Duro High my freshman year and I decided I wanted to do it myself” Pompa said. “There’s not many of us here in town that do it but we do it everywhere we can including at AC. We’ll dance in my neighborhood the Byrd Building the gazebo anywhere we get a chance. “Break dancing may be a rarity in Amarillo but Pompa’s got a steadfast partner 21-year-old Sean Maxwell. “We have other people join in at times” said Maxwell a general studies major. “We’ve been at it for about five or six years now. Last spring students and staff took part in “Dancing With the Staff” a spin-off of television’s “Dancing With the Stars. “”There’s some talk that ‘Dancing With the Staff’ may very well come back” Talcott said.
